On the History of Runes and their Evolution - A Goliath's Observations
The book that Ravik found in the library while he was high on Filamine. Has had it copied and it is now a research project for him.
From Sand
As Ravik reads through the books, he learns some things he had already intuited through life. Giant runes and how they shaped Goliath as a people- the differences between what scholars call "true" Giant runes, with their flowy forms and Goliath runes, that often take on more simplified, straight-lined forms. It seems Giant runes are better at channeling the power they were intended to wield, but the small size in which humanoids wield them can sometimes make them less effective. Trade-offs; both should be good for his purposes, right?
Near the end of his studies, Ravik finds a small catalogue of Giant runes, depicting a series he is familiar with. However, something is wrong, even in his Filamine-affected brain.
Why is there an upside-down King rune here? And why is it missing its label?
