Ravik's letter to Merkoth's widow
Mrs. Merkoth
my name is Ravik Jumalin and I am a finder with the Ruby Disciples.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. I met your husband once many years ago and we shared some cups of ale and a few stories. He was a good man who deserved none of what befel him.
Me and my companions were the ones that found out the fate of your husband. And I was the one who buried him. It is not right that I hold this information to myself, as a partner in life you deserve to know where he rests.
Just outside town, there is a small copse of willows and birches, there is also a large, stout oak among these tall slender trees. I dug your husband a grave amongst its sturdy and old roots, with a view out over the fields, the forest and the wide sky.
I hope you find piece there when you arrive.
May the light shine strong.
