Ravik's letter to Daenur's parents
Ailus and Betta,
My name is Ravik Jumalin and I am a finder for the Ruby Disciples. You don't know me, but maybe you have heard of my superior Orientator Thallium who might recently have been to Thuis.
As part of an investigation we saved your son Daenur from a cult in an old abandoned temple. He is okay. He is sound of body and mind, though he has been through an ordeal.
Daenur has told me and my companions that he was taken from your shop. We think the reason is a paperweight you bought of a man. This paperweight seems to have affected Daenur in some way that makes him a target for these men. We don't want to send him home without trying to remove what makes him a target. But to help Daenur we are currently traveling to Nayora to seek a way to help him.
I understand this might not be what you would want for your son right now. I can assure you that Daenur is safe and well. We are taking really good care of him. As soon as we know what to do we will find a way to reunite you in a safe manner.
Meanwhile, if you remember the paperweight, is there something you can tell us about it or the man who sold it to you? Any detail could help us.
Feel free to write me at the Nayora Library. The disciples will make sure to get the letter to me and if you write a letter for Daenur we will make sure he gets it.
In light,
Ravik Jumalin, 3rd. level finder of the Ruby Disciples.
