Myconids
Myconids are creatures often found in the underground or damp, dark environments, such as tropical forests, under foating islands, or in certain coastal regions.
They are some of the first sentient creatures, small humanoid mushrooms or moss forms of various shapes. Myconids tend to act in a colony environment, similar to animals such as ants. When in their home, Myconids are able to 'merge their minds', connecting to the large mycelium of their birthplace in order to exchange experiences, water, and food with their colony.
Myconids can separate from their colony to form their own, but tend not to sever their connection due to their low ability to live away from their cluster.
Myconid society is divided into small circles, each with a specialized function. Some common functions are:
Hunters, Explorers, Builders, and Gardeners.
