Nayoran Ooze

Found by Ravik in Nayora's river, by the Park of Light.

When fed scrap, it grows very quickly.

The Nayora Ooze

Looking at this thing from up close, Riga is certain of two things. One, it isn't an algae. Though there are forms of single-celled algae colonies that resemble this, they don't tend to move as though connected in thought, and are typically stationary.

Two- Riga believes this to be some form of ooze, creatures born out of magic in a variety of ways. They can be mutated molds or algae, parts of the ecosystem, or created by magic to serve as wards or clean-up 'devices' more efficient than incinerators and brooms. What remains the same is that they are essentially bags of super corrosive acid capable of consuming most things other than bone. Depending on the exposure, size, and type of ooze, it could be quick or slow and excruciating. Some smaller oozes, like this one, tend to be slow-acting, mostly in order to make the little food they do manage to catch or find last as long as possible.

This particular specimen seems really adapted to the river, even blending in well with the local kinds of algae. However, Riga has not heard of oozes living in Nayora's river, whether inside of its walls or in the area immediately beyond.

As Riga understands it, any ooze could theoretically grow indefinitely if it consumes more than it requires to live

Weakness/Resistances:

Alright. Riga is nearly sure this thing should resist or may even be immune to acid. It also almost certainly resists fire and cold in order to thrive in more environments.

[Riga]
Riga believes it's possible that if an Ooze can be bred for such a specific purpose, another could in theory be bred to overtake it.

She assumes that if the sewers rely on these oozes to some degree, beyond their treatment plants, they'd have some manner of defense. It's possible another species could have come around and interbred, creating a new strain.

It's possible that Bulettes capable of processing stone could handle acidic oozes.

It also occurs to Riga that you have yet to witness the Grave Lotus. They could have interfered with the oozes somehow, whether by attracting them with their foul smell or even killing them when the oozes attempted to consume them, by the mere effect of their necrotic energies.

The Puppetmaster is a weird one. It tends to take over plants or creatures, but oozes don't really provide it with much benefit at all.
