Legendary Creature, CR 13

Defeated by the group on June 23rd, in the Lotus Nexus's lair beneath Plaza of the Seven.

A magically enhanced Grave Lotus flower, combined with an Elemental Essence Shard (Ice)

Responsible for most of the blockage in the Iron Quarters' sewers by virtue of roots and its aura creating icecaps, blocking the flow.

Description

What was once a trunk becomes the gnarled simulacrum of a humanoid torso, branches becoming two arms that crack and seep with red sap as though dipped in a pool of blood. As though its ribcage were bursting forth through its chest, a series of long, pale branches extend from it to form something akin to a noblewoman's ruffle.

The face seems to be partway formed, appearing like a dessicated corpse's, except the upper half expands into another wave of branches. The monstrosity of roots leans forward, and tilts its head at Riga.

Abilities

About as smart as a dog. Not immediately aggressive.

Aura of Cold, 10 feet radius

Could summon a wall of thorny branches.

Could empower one of its buds, or cause it to violently explode.

Would Slam and try to grapple the nearest targer

Necrotic Bark (10-20 lbs)

Plates of root bark strengthened by necrotic energies.

Nexus Heartwood (1 large trunk segment, ~50 lbs)

A rough cylinder around 1 m tall and with a 30cm radius. Cold-infused 'wood' that is tinted a vibrant red, unnaturally dense.

Frozen Sap Crystals (13, roughly the size of darts, 1 lb each)

Crystalline shards of that red sap, frozen. Suitable as materials or as substitutes for darts.

Withered Root Fibers (2 10ft bundles)

A bundle of thin withered roots that are still resistant, not dissimilar to rope.

Pollen Sphere (2)

Spheres of thin plant material storing pollen. Potential use as ingredients or as throwable explosives.

Withered Branch

A six-foot long curled branch, pale bark marked by red veins. Riga feels magic from it. This branch functions as a Staff of Withering.
