Bloomburst

This is a particularly dangerous flower, called Bloomburst. It grows in regions rich in metal, especially iron and aluminum. Instead of feeding off of photosynthesis, this flower has developed a manner of extracting energy in the form of heat from metals through a well-controlled inner thermite reaction. It spreads its young by being disturbed.
Once a creature brushes up against the flower, or even a wind strong enough blows near it, the controlled reaction quickly becomes uncontrolled, resulting in a large heat burst that spreads flaming hot seeds and small particles of metal.
