You have heard stories of people who sought to learn too much. Wizards who tried to peel back the curtain to the universe, people who tried to steal knowledge from long dead liches, men who defied Sardior and delved into his vaults for his secrets. It never ends well.

Sometimes, these individuals are... Cursed. As a rule of thumb, consumed by their insatiable thirst for forbidden knowledge, Nothics are cursed lore seekers transformed by the forbidden knowledge they have glimpsed. They typically remember nothing about their past lives, and are driven by the very hunger that led to their demise, rummaging through long-forgotten ruins and traveling between shadows of the overworld for its secrets. They are capable of extracting secrets and facts about others by simply gazing at them.

A very select few are aware of their condition and seek to end their transformation, and make that their life's pursuit
