Carp symbolism

Yes, carps hold symbolism. They are perceived as a symbol of peace and good, and those with metallic scales have been compared to metallic dragons since the time after the Draconic Wars. Some unofficial versions of the story of Midrán and Sardior's creation of Metallics include plucking a family of carps from a river, pulling them up through a waterfall that led all the way to the Upper Planes. These carps served as the life infused into these dragons.
